TAXI MAROON & BLACK WITH REAR WINDOW
Dinky Toys #36g (pre-war type casting)

A very attractive example of this early Taxi model with maroon body and black roof and chassis. With driver and rear window. Quite well-preserved with paint chips mostly on the roof and around the rear fenders. Scarce pre-war type production model. This model was presumably issued right after WWII and some old castings may have been used. We have not been able to find any reference to this model being issued after the war in pre-war casting, but the thicker axles indicates that it is a post-war model. Quite rare as such, and certainly much rarer than the later models with no back window. Recently unearthed in Arizona.
